Heidi Owens was appointed as the White Tank Justice of the Peace in January, 2021.
Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Idaho and then her Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law.
Judge Owens received her Arizona State Bar License in 2011 and began working for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. After a brief transition to the Department of Economic Security, she returned to the Attorney General’s office and served as Unit Chief Counsel for the Civil and Criminal and Litigation Advice Section.
She chairs the justice courts' Judicial Development & Training committee and has a seat on the Technology and Professional Standards committees as well.
Judge Owens lives in Buckeye with her family.
